Daniel Klass
Principal, Equity Fund
Daniel joined EdgeStone in January 2008. Prior to joining EdgeStone, he worked at TD Capital where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, executing and monitoring mezzanine and preferred share investments and equity co-investments. Prior to joining TD Capital, Daniel worked for three years at Richter Usher and Vineberg in both the Auditing and Corporate Finance departments. At Richter, Daniel advised clients on divestitures, acquisitions and refinancings.
Daniel received his MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and has a B.Sc. (Mathematics and Statistics) from the University of Western Ontario. He has also received his Certified Public Accounting designation from the State of Illinois.

Laura Lenz
Principal, Venture Fund
Laura joined EdgeStone in January 2004. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Laura worked in the Investment Banking division of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., where she worked on corporate finance and advisory transactions with communications and technology companies. Laura also worked in BMO Nesbitt Burns' private equity divisions, including BMO Halyard Partners and BMO Equity Partners.
Laura serves on the Board of Directors of pVelocity and RapidMind and is an observer on the Board of Directors of CiRBA, Shoplogix, and Varicent. Past EdgeStone portfolio companies with which Laura was involved includes Decision Dynamics (TSX-V:DDY). Laura was previously the co-chair of the Young Venture Capital Association (YVC). Laura holds an Honors Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (Dean's Honor List) and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Andrew Walton
Principal, Equity Fund
Andrew joined EdgeStone in February 2008 with over ten years of transaction experience. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Andrew spent thirteen years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. As a Partner in the Transaction Services division, Andrew advised both private equity and corporate clients on their acquisition and divestiture activities.
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant (SAICA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Accounting Honours from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Jeffrey Brown
Vice President, Equity Fund
Jeffrey joined EdgeStone in September 2003. During 2006, Jeffrey was seconded to Porter Airlines in a senior management role to support the airline’s launch. Prior to joining EdgeStone, he worked in Lehman Brothers Inc.'s investment banking group, focusing on the energy, technology and communications and media sectors where he worked on a number of advisory and equity and debt financing transactions.
Jeffrey serves on the Board of Directors of New Food Classics and as an observer to the Board of Directors of Porter Airlines. Jeffrey holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Sarah Goel
Vice President, Equity Fund
Sarah joined EdgeStone in May 2006. Prior to joining EdgeStone, she worked as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney and Lexagon Group. She worked on a number of strategic and operational engagements, with a particular focus on the wireless communications industry.
Sarah holds a MBA from Harvard Business School where she graduated with distinction, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University where she graduated with First Class Honours.

Andre Mousseau

Andre joined EdgeStone in April 2006. Prior to EdgeStone, he worked as an Associate in Investment Banking at Genuity Capital Markets where he completed transactions in the technology, media and manufacturing industries. Andre previously worked at McKinsey & Company and CIBC World Markets.
Andre holds an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated as an Ivey Scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from McGill University.

Feizal Satchu

Feizal joined EdgeStone in May 2006. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Feizal was an Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions in RBC Capital Markets' Global Investment Banking group, where he advised on a number of buyside, sellside, restructuring and fairness opinion mandates in a variety of industries. Previously, he worked in Corporate Development at Trizec Properties.
Feizal is an observer to the Board of Directors of Trimaster Manufacturing and Berkeley Capital Management. He holds an M.B.A. (Dean's Honour List) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a B.A. in Economics from McGill University.

Robin Kovitz

Robin joined EdgeStone in August 2007. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Robin worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at CIBC World Markets, where she was involved with a number of investment banking mandates in a variety of industries. In 2005, Robin received the Chairman’s Award for outstanding contribution to CIBC. She also worked as a summer management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
Robin holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University (Dean’s Honour List) where she was a Rutherford Scholar.

Philippe Martin
Associate, Equity Fund
Philippe joined EdgeStone in March 2007. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Philippe worked as an Analyst in the Investment Bank Department of BMO Capital Markets in Toronto and Montreal where he was involved in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructuring assignments and private equity offerings in various industries. Prior to that, he worked as an Analyst in the BMO Nesbitt Burns Toronto office for the Summer of 2004 and their Montreal office for the Summer 2003.
Philippe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), major in finance degree from the HEC (École des Hautes Études Commerciales) of Montréal.

Katherine Rivington
Associate, Equity Fund
Katherine joined EdgeStone in July 2007. Prior to joining EdgeStone, she worked as a management consultant at Cap Gemini and at LxLi where she was involved with a variety of strategic and operational initiatives in the consumer products, food and retail sectors. She also worked as a law student at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.
Katherine holds both a M.B.A. (Dean's List and Bregman Scholar) and a J.D. (with Honours) from the University of Toronto. Upon completion of her J.D./M.B.A. degree, Katherine received the Gerald W. Schwartz Gold Medal. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto where she graduated with High Distinction.

Damien Steel

Damien joined EdgeStone in April 2007. Prior to joining EdgeStone, Damien worked as a Manager in KPMG’s Corporate Finance group where he acted as lead Project Manager on M&A, divestiture and financing mandates. Prior to that, he worked as an Associate with RSM Richter’s Corporate Finance and Audit groups.
Damien holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Co-op Option from Wilfrid Laurier University, has obtained his CA designation and is a CFA charterholder.
